Keeper’s Corner - Get better skin

Stop Layering Serums. Start Drinking Your Skincare.

As the weather cools, skin often gets drier, duller, and tighter — no matter how many serums you layer on. That's because real hydration starts from within.

Pique's Radiant Skin Duo pairs two formulas that work from the inside out. B·T Fountain is a beauty electrolyte with clinically studied ceramides and ultra-low molecular weight hyaluronic acid. Sun Goddess Matcha brings EGCG antioxidants that protect collagen and calm the stress that shows up as dullness and puffiness.

Skip the five-step routine: plumper, more even-toned skin in weeks is what keeps customers coming back every fall. This bundle sells out fast — once it's gone, it's gone until next year.

Lock in 20% off for life now, backed by Pique's 90-day guarantee. Shop the Radiant Skin Duo before it's gone.

Thursday. The bedroom, two in the morning.

She cleared it letter by letter.

That was the third time, and the third time had a rhythm the first two had lacked. Question mark. The p. The u. She watched each one go the way you watch a number come off a scoreboard, and when the field was empty the cursor stood in it alone, patient, the way it had stood once in a car outside a pharmacy with a dead woman's glasses in her lap.

Priya stayed where Priya was. Two hours south, under fluorescent light, with a chart in her hand and no idea. The author of nothing. The one person on the far side of the silence, kept there by the only thing Maya still owned outright, which was her mouth.

She put the phone face down on the nightstand. She lay back inside the arrangement, and her husband's hand came looking for hers in his sleep, found it, folded it. Warm. Across the lawn, the annex kept its dark. Nobody outside these gates knew anything, and that was the plan. The plan was hers.

She slept at three. She knew because she looked.

Thursday. The bedroom, twenty to five.

An engine woke her.

Small. Tired. Coming up the lane behind the service gate at the speed of a person who has driven two hours in the dark and is not sure of the turning. She knew that engine the way she knew her own pulse. A green car with a nurse in it, two hours of dark road behind it, exactly as promised.

She was upright before the sound stopped.

Inventory. The lamp dark. The door shut. Daniel's side of the bed empty, the sheet cool, the shape of him gone out of it a while. Past the glass the lawn lay black. Past the lawn, at the far wall where the iron gate let the lane in, two small headlights sat level in the dark and went out.

Her hand went to the nightstand.

The nightstand was bare.

She stood in the middle of the bedroom with her hand still out over the place where a phone had been, and let the arithmetic run at a whisper, because saying only one was how people got comfortable. Nothing came. There was only one reading, and it was already downstairs.

She went down at a weight the treads did not report, because that was the only way she knew how to go down now, even running.

Thursday. The kitchen, quarter to five.

Vivian was at the table in her coat.

Two cups. The lamp over the island turned low, the way a lamp is turned when someone has been sitting under it a while. Her gloves were off, folded one on the other beside the saucer nearest the door. And in front of the second cup, face up on the scrubbed wood, angled to the empty chair, lay Maya's phone with its screen lit.

"Sit down, dear," Vivian said. "Your friend has the wrong address."

Maya did not sit. She stood in the doorway in a nightdress with her hands cold to the wrist and read the screen from there, because her eyes could do that now from four feet in any light.
