RULE THREE
The camera, then the law. Today, what everyone is carrying.
On your eighteenth birthday, the state hands you a pistol. Standard issue, standard caliber. Yours for life, like a surname.
From that day you carry it loaded, every time you step outside. To the market, to the office, down to the lobby for a parcel. Nobody thinks about it. It hangs off a kitchen chair at dinner the way your keys hang off a hook.
You keep it clean. You keep it close.
The part that takes a while to feel: the pistol is for your neighbors. Any citizen may put an offender to sleep, on the spot, if a camera saw the offense. The woman at the bakery counter is a judge. So is the man who holds the elevator. So is everyone in the building.

Every Friday this season, you sit where they sit. Somebody will have done something. You decide what she does about it.
Monday, a new woman moves in, pistol on her hip like everyone else's. Every neighbor she meets is a judge. So is she, whether she wants to be or not.
One question, reply only: would you want to know which of your neighbors has used theirs? One word is plenty.
Season Two begins Monday, November 9, at 7:07 a.m. Eastern. Four mornings from now.
Forward this to the one friend you'd trust armed. The first five days of the season are free for anyone who arrives late. After Friday the 13th, the archive closes to everyone but members.
You're reading this because a Keeper sent it to you. Be in the building before she moves in.
Keep this quiet.
Eren.
